# tasteHQ data and media licence

## Original tasteHQ material

Unless an entry says otherwise, tasteHQ's original grammar classifications,
commentary, taxonomy mappings and original visual fingerprints are licensed
under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).

## Excluded material

This licence does not grant rights in:

- third-party names, trade marks, logos, typefaces or brand assets;
- third-party website text, images, video, interface artwork or source code;
- captured screenshots, recordings or excerpts unless a specific rights record
  in `styles/media-rights.json` expressly marks that asset publishable; or
- material linked from a tasteHQ record or supplied by a customer.

Those rights remain with their respective owners. Inclusion of a reference is
independent analysis and does not imply affiliation, approval or endorsement.

## Public media rule

Captured media is private by default. File presence is not permission. A public
build may include an asset only when the rights manifest records its status,
permitted media types, attribution, source, verification date and evidence
reference and the approved copy is placed under `styles/public-media/`.
Customer review captures are never added to the catalog automatically.

## Corrections and rights requests

Rights holders may request correction, attribution changes or removal through
the contact channel at https://w230.net. A disputed asset should be unpublished
while the request is assessed.
